Let's open another safe deposit box in the Vault and see what I've been playing with here lately.  My sister introduced me to the DIY world of Midori style traveler's notebooks.  I must say for now I'm hooked.  I made her a passport size one out of leather remnants I got at Hobby Lobby and this one I made from a placemat I got at Walmart for myself.

I used eyelets for elastic holes

Made the pen holder from placemat remnant and rivets

I have enough remaining to make 2 more.  Finished book measures 5 by 6.

This was a fun project.  The hardest part was how to get the tutu to stay on the tray but make it easy for mommy to remove after the party (Velcro dots did the trick).

Okay, I'm game.  My sister got me surfing the internet for how-to's on Fauxbonichi.  I was inspired by Tracystreasures on Youtube, her style was simple but clean.  I purchased my journal from Walmart for under $10.00.  It is a hard cover journal with ruled lines not gridded.  I got to use my Cricut Expression to cut the white wording out of vinyl.

Here is a pic of other diaper cake.  This one is a two layer cake but now I'm out of bunny riders.

Next I want to do a Baltimore dirty bird one.
I must say this turned out better than I expected and my customer is sure to love it.

Well like so many others, I can't wait until someone break me off a piece of their millions.  Below is the latest project that I was commission to do.  A rocking horse diaper cake.  I'm 90% complete, just need to add a few embellishments.

I've always wanted to create my own headboard showing my love for life. Well, here is my creation using Ikea's MINUT wall lamp, Erikslund Picture in Frame and just out of the box (2 years old) Cricut Expression.  The safari scene was cut out of black cardstock and tack taped to the wall for easy removal when the time comes.
